As a small business, we strive to support other local small business. We use Culinary Solvents alcohol for our tinctures and elixirs and have been happy with the results. They have fantastic customer service and I would highly recommend them to other herbal companies and individuals making their own tinctures, perfumes, or infused spirits.
You people are terrible. I ordered 2 4oz bottles and received 1. The receipt stated one bottle and that was fine. When I got my charge card statement, I was charged $52. That's two bottles!!

Not all alcohol is created equally. Non-denatured ethyl alcohol (aka ethanol) contains zero additives and is the safest alcohol for application to the skin or body. Avoid alcohols labeled "denatured" including SDA40b and never use isopropyl alcohol or methanol for homemade perfume recipes.
No, 80-proof vodka contains 60% water which is not recommended for homemade perfume recipes. The high percentage of water in 80 proof vodka or other spirits will inhibit miscibility of the fragrance oils as well as affect evaporation of your homemade perfume.
